Vietnam’s National Day observed abroad

(VOVWORLD) - Activities have been held in a number of  countries to mark the 75th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia held a ceremony in Moscow Wednesday and offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh. At the ceremony, Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh reviewed milestones of Vietnamese history since Vietnam gained independence.

He said that in 75 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people have made remarkable achievements in national defense, construction, and development. Vietnam's status and diplomatic relations around the world have steadily improved.

The same day, the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina held a ceremony to mark the occasion. In a message sent to the event, Argentina’s Deputy Foreign Minister Pablo Tettamanti extended National Day greetings to Vietnam and pledged that the Argentinean Government will continue to promote cooperation between the two countries.

Also on Wednesday, the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt held a ceremony to mark National Day and the establishment of Vietnam's diplomatic service.

The Vietnamese Embassies in Myanmar and Thailand held similar ceremonies on the occasion.
