Currently, Vietnam’s rice price is higher than that of India’s 5% broken rice, but lower than that of Thailand.
Last month, Vietnam exported 280,000 tons of rice, earning 154 million USD.
The Vietnam Food Association forecasts positive prospects for Vietnam’s rice exports this year, both in terms of volume and price. Vietnam’s major rice export markets, such as the Philippines and Africa, have signed contracts to import rice from Vietnam with significant amounts.
