Vietnam’s trade turnover tops 200 billion USD in H1

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s total trade turnover in the first half of this year surpassed the 200 billion USD mark, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Processing industry with an export turnover of 102 billion USD continued to be a “locomotive” of national exports, accounting for 83% of Vietnam’s total export turnover from January to July. Export surged in markets that have signed free trade agreement with Vietnam, including South Korea, ASEAN, and Japan.

Vietnam’s import turnover reached 120 billion USD and its export surplus was estimated at 1.6 billion USD in the first half of this year.
