(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Monday attended the inauguration of a powdered milk factory of the Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company, Vinamilk.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dung appreciated Vinamilk’s effective performance, contributing more to the State budget. Dung said: “Vinamilk’s powdered milk factory is a vivid illustration of the determination to develop Vietnam’s dairy processing industry. It will promote the growth of other processing industries to serve consumers’ demands and effectively exploit domestic material resources.”
Vinamilk has invested 100 million USD in building the powdered milk factory, which has the capacity to produce 54,000 tons of powdered milk annually. The company is aiming to earn 3 billion USD by 2017 and to become one of the world’s top 50 dairy producers.
To mark this occasion, Vinamilk donated 10,000 powdered milk cans, worth 50,000 USD, to poor children.
