Vinfast to sell electric cars in the US in 2021
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s automobile manufacturer Vinfast plans to penetrate the US market, said autoblog.com last Friday.

The website said Vinfast’s electric crossover designed by Pininfarina will make its debut by the end of this year before being sold in the US market in 2021.
Vinfast told Reuters that it expects to officially debut the model at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2020; launch a test programme in January 2021 and mass produce the cars by July 2021. However, COVID-19 may force Vinfast to delay its plan. It’s not clear how Vinfast will distribute its cars in the US market, but it’s more likely that the company will look for a distributor although it may choose door-to-door delivery.
Vinfast, a unit of Vietnam’s largest conglomerate Vingroup JSC, was founded in 2017 and is currently the 5th largest car maker in the domestic market.
