Passengers who have VNeID accounts at level-2, which means their information has been verified by the authorities, will be able to use their apps for security checks for domestic flights.

A level-2 identity account integrates various personal documents and services, including a person’s driving license, vehicle registration, health insurance card, payment of various electronic bills, financial transactions, government services, and online public services. This  integrated account is equivalent to a chip-based ID.

The CAAV also requested the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to acquire equipment for verifying genuine and counterfeit VNeID accounts, and to to install biometric authentication systems and develop future standards and guidelines that prioritize the convenience of implementing VNeID.

In addition, starting from Tuesday, Korean Air passengers have the option to utilize self-check-in kiosks located at the Da Nang International Airport.

Self check-in kiosks have become increasingly popular in modern airport terminals worldwide, offering passengers a fast and hassle-free check-in experience. These kiosks are equipped with user-friendly touch-screen interfaces and allow passengers to complete the check-in process on their own before boarding.
This initiative is part of the efforts to digitize and streamline the check-in procedures. By reducing passenger congestion during peak hours and saving time for large groups of travelers, this serves as a solution to provide a more efficient and seamless travel experience.
