(VOVworld) – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan said voluntary blood donations and medical treatment reflect national unity at a meeting on Tuesday to review last year’s activities.
She asked the Ministry of Health to quickly complete a draft law on blood and stem cell donation to report to the government and national assembly next year. This will form an important legal basis for encouraging the blood donation movement and humanitarian medical check-ups and treatment.
More than 1 million blood units were donated and over 1 million people received free medical check-ups and treatment last year.
