Voter Nguyen Thu Thuy of Dong Tam Ward, Yen Bai city, said: “We believe that in this term the National Assembly will issue more important policies, including specific policies for mountain regions, to improve people’s lives and develop the nation. I believe that the deputies will fulfill their duties and voters’ aspirations.”

The new term of the National Assembly will begin with a number of urgent problems that voters want the deputies to solve, such as environmental pollution, climate change, and corruption. Nguyen Thi Y Nu is Deputy Chairwoman of the Ha Tinh provincial People’s Council: “We have great expectations for the National Assembly. The National Assembly should not discuss only important national matters but also smaller things that affect people’s living standards. We need more mechanism and policies to deal with food safety and protecting the environment.”

Voters have an interest in building the Party and the administration and the renovation of the State apparatus, particularly the National Assembly and the government. They hope that in reviewing the last term the National Assembly, the government, and state agencies at all levels will learn something that will help them fulfill their duties. They expect the National Assembly to invest more in the legislative process and the government to continue its administrative reform.
