War veterans donate 200 artifacts of Dien Bien Phu Victory

(VOVworld) – The Museum of Dien Bien Phu Victory has received nearly 200 artifacts and documents from war veterans in Dien Bien Phu campaign 60 years ago.

 The artifacts include backpacks, knives, wool blankets, and medical equipments used for wounded soldiers during the campaign. Vu Thi Tuyet Nga, Deputy Director of the museum, said: "War veterans donated artifacts recording the victory following a campaign initiated by the museum. The museum also organized various activities to collect items including the sending of letters to veterans. We will soon complete legal documents to approve those artifacts as the museum’s belongings."

The museum considers that the collecting of war artifacts is one of its most important tasks to prepare for the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
