Axel van Trotsenburg, the bank's managing director of operations, made the statement during an interview with Reuters while on a visit to the Bosnian capital Sarajevo.

He said the military operation in Ukraine disrupted Ukraine’s grain exports, which is one of the reason that the World Bank announced they are willing to provide financing of up to 30 billion USD to deal with food insecurity over the next 12 months.
