WBA Asian Boxing Championship to kick off in Ho Chi Minh City on March 25

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese boxing fans are expecting with excitement to watch three matches of WBA Asian Boxing Championship to be held in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time on March 25. The news of the three continental matches was announced by the Ho Chi Minh City Boxing Federation on Wednesday.

The fan page of LEAD, the name of the tournament, has officially announced the poster of the event featuring the top two Vietnamese boxers who hold the WBA Asia championship belts, Truong Dinh Hoang and the world's No. 8 Le Huu Toan. They will defend their titles against boxers from the Republic of Korea and the Philippines in two thrilling matches in their homeland.

Previously Hoang and Toan successfully defended their title when competing in Thailand and the Philippines. This time Hoang's challenger will be Republic of Korea's No. 1 boxer Dae Hyun Beak. Three years ago, Hoang won the WBA East Asia Championship after defeating a Korean boxer.

LEAD: BORN TO LEAD is the second tournament in the professional boxing series LEAD organized by Ho Chi Minh City Boxing Federation and Shadow Entertainment company, aiming to make LEAD on a par with international tournaments and become a solid launching pad for boxers.
