(VOVWORLD) - World Economic Forum (WEF) will continue to work with Vietnam to realize the country’s socio-economic development goals, said Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Forum.

Talking by phone with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday, he suggested that the two sides sign a partnership agreement to create a framework for substantive and effective cooperation.
Professor Schwab said that Vietnam, with its correct development orientation and human potential, is having great opportunities for stronger development, becoming a constructive partner of the international community in their efforts to shape the future.
During the phone conversation, Prime Minister Chinh said he wishes to further substantive and effective cooperation with WEF and its member corporations. He asked the WEF to continue its support for Vietnam, especially in policy consultation and help Vietnam to fine-tune its institutions, shift its growth model, and restructure its economy towards sustainability, implement digital transformation, apply science- technology, and improve the quality of human resources.
The PM also suggested that the WEF connect Vietnam with prestigious global corporations and investment funds, support Vietnam in attracting financial investment from WEF's member corporations, especially in high technology, energy transformation, digital transformation, and infrastructure development.
Professor Klaus Schwab cordially invited Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend and speak at the Annual Meeting 2022 in Davos, Switzerland, from May 22 to 26, the first global in-person leadership event since the start of the pandemic.
