"I learned about the contest from ads at my school and on the social network. My painting features animals on the verge of extinction and our need to protect them. With this painting, I want to call on people to join efforts to protect our green life. I’m very happy to have won the top prize," Giang said.

Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolai Prytz said: "It’s very impressive event. I think we have a wide, deep cooperation between the governments of Vietnam and Denmark. It’s wonderful that we have a project with children. I’m amazed by the quality of it. I’m also amazed by the dedication and commitment to green transition through the art works. We hope this contest gives them a voice. The children are the future and we need to take into account their ways of seeing the challenges."

The Denmark in Your Eyes painting contest is co-organized by the Embassy of Denmark and the Vietnam Denmark Friendship Association (VIDAFA) with support from the Ministry of Education and Training, Kim Dong Publishing House, Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong newspapers and My Kingdom-Lego Vietnam. JYSK, a Danish Furniture Retail Chain is the main sponsor of the competition.
