In its latest announcement, the WB approved support for projects worth 1.9 billion USD in 25 countries, and new operations in 40 other countries.

The World Bank Group is taking broad, fast action to slow the spread of COVID-19 and already has operations moving forward in over 65 countries, said World Bank Group President David Malpass. He added that the poorest and most vulnerable countries will likely be hit the hardest, and WB teams around the world remain focused on country-level and regional solutions to address the crisis.
