(VOVworld) – A 2017 world cultural festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City as part of cooperation with the Republic of Korea’s (ROK) North Gyeongsang province.

Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu and Deputy Governor of the ROK province Woo Byung Yoon discussed preparations for the event at a meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday. Thu highlighted the sound relations between the two countries and noted that Ho Chi Minh City was leading the nation in cooperation activities with the ROK. She added that the joint hosting of the festival was significant in increasing cultural exchanges between the two nations.

Woo Byung Yoon said the festival would help the two countries and peoples make cultural exchanges. He said the ROK wouls display a number of its best beauty products and host K-pop music performances for Vietnamese audiences.
