World leaders extend congratulations to Vietnam on National Day

(VOVWORLD) - On the 78th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2), the UN Secretary General and leaders of many countries sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State.

In a message to President Vo Van Thuong, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that the UN highly values Vietnam's role and contributions to common efforts in addressing global challenges. He expressed his confidence that Vietnam will continue to join hands with the UN to build a better, peaceful, and prosperous future.

The leaders of Thailand praised the strategic partnership between the two countries over the past 10 years and growing bilateral cooperation in all important fields. They pledged to continue cooperating closely with Vietnam, contributing to the development of each country as well as regional stability and prosperity.

President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol said that with political trust, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the RoK will continue to bring prosperity to the two countries in the future.

Governor-General of Australia David Hurley expressed his belief that the Vietnam-Australia friendship will continue to develop strongly.
King Charles III of Britain, President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, and President of France Emmanuel Macron also sent greetings and congratulatory messages to President Vo Van Thuong.
