Youngest Politburo member heads Party education commission

(VOVworld) – 45-year-old Vo Van Thuong, the youngest member of the 12th -tenure Politburo, has been appointed head of the Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission. Under the Politburo’s decision, officially announced on Monday, Thuong, will leave his current position as Standing Vice Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Thuong was previously the First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU)’s Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ngai provincial Party Committee, and Standing Vice Secretary of the HCM City Party Committee.
Thuong was elected to the 12th-tenure Party Central Committee and the Politburo of the 12th tenure.
