The old members of the Youth Union recalled their memories which inspired the will and voluntary spirit of young revolutionary people in all fields of national construction and development.

Thang Van Phuc, former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and the first Secretary of the Hoa Binh Hydropower plant’s Youth Union said, “At that time, we worked three or four shifts in a day. There were many movements during the 10-year construction such as groundbreaking, blocking the river, and building the plant. Young people nationwide had many innovative ideas such as transporting food to their peers working at the Hoa Binh hydropower plant. It strengthened the determination and responsibility of young revolutionary people in their work.”

Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union, said the revolutionary spirit of the predecessors will be further promoted and more youth projects will be launched for national construction and defense.
