Vietnam’s volunteer campaigns have attracted many people, especially young people who take part in activities to defend border, sea and island sovereignty, build new rural areas, protect the environment, ensure traffic safety, help examinees in examination season and donate blood. Chairman of Vietnam Youth Federation Nguyen Phi Long, said: “Voluntary activities help connect the community and encourage young people to share difficulties with the community. They create a training environment for young people. Through voluntary campaigns, young people are aware of their responsibilities for themselves and others”.

On the same day, the Vietnam Youth Federation in Ho Chi Minh City held the 3rd International Volunteer Festival. Ho Tan Dat is Vice Chairman of the Federation: “We hope that voluntary campaigns will be held regularly. Through voluntary activities, we hope to connect different volunteer clubs, groups and volunteers and boost exchanges and cooperation between them”.
