(VOVworld) – As the Lunar New Year is drawing near, the calligraphy street opened on Sunday in Labor Palace, Ho Chi Minh city. Calligraphy artists are showing their beautiful writings in both Chinese and Vietnamese characters to those who like to adorn their home with such gifts as best wishes for prosperity and happiness in the upcoming Year of the Horse. Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh from District 3 said: “Calligraphy Street is a traditional cultural feature on the occasion of the New Year. I and every city dweller want to come here at least once in a lifetime to get some words written in a hope for all the best in the New Year. I wish that I will be promoted in my job”.

This is the 6^th calligraphy street event organized by the Vietnamese calligraphy club of the Labor Palace in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will last until January 28.
