(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Public Security held a national conference in Nam Dinh on Tuesday to review 20 years of implementing Directive 11 on encouraging the Catholic community to become involved in national defense during the 1994-2014 period.

Pastor Nguyen Duc Giang from Bui Chu parish said: “We are particularly concerned about education on altruism and community life. Parents, teachers and the church need to work together to teach children life skills.”

In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the local administration to improve awareness on religious policies and ensure security in religious areas.
