(VOVworld) - More than 2,000 publications on late President Ho Chi Minh are on display at a book exhibition that opened in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on Monday. The exhibits include some of the works written by the President when he lived and worked in the province’s safety zone, as well as works about Uncle Ho by domestic and foreign authors. Also on display are books featuring Party and Government leaders and military generals, who are or were outstanding students of President Ho Chi Minh. 
The Vietnam News Agency’s Television station will broadcast a series of programs called ‘Study Uncle Ho every day’ from the President’s birthday of May 19th with a 5-minute episode every day. This will provide viewers with a wealth of information on President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career.
An exhibition of postage stamps entitled ‘Uncle Ho’s journey’ is currently being held in Ho Chi Minh. The exhibition features 15 collections of stamps, including 5,000 postage stamps from the private collections of 10 collectors. The stamp collections on display at the exhibition have all won prizes at stamp contests at the National Stamp Exhibitions.
An award ceremony for the writing contest ‘To learn and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example ’will take place in Hanoi on Thursday. According to the organizing board, over 700 entries from around the country have been submitted after the contest was launched a year ago. There are 19 awards with one first prize, 3 second prizes, and 5 third prizes. Hai Duong, head of the contest’s steering committee, says ‘The entries are diverse in terms of content, reflecting outstanding individuals and joint works from different walks of life. More than 100 works have been selected to be published in the Nhan Dan/People’s publications. The works have contributed to improve awareness in the Party and society about the importance of the movement to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, considering it a daily duty of every Party member and citizen’.
