Since Wednesday afternoon, ships and boats in Quang Binh have been moving to safe harbors. The provincial Border Guard Command has directed units along the border to update weather conditions regularly and work closely with local communities to evacuate people at high risk of landslide or flooding and check and replenish emergency food supplies.

Quang Nam province’s Department of Education and Training instructed schools in all districts, towns, and cities to close on Thursday due to the approaching storm. The Department also requested that schools assign duty officers and promptly report any possible damage, and measures taken to address the aftermath.

In coastal regions, fishermen have been moving their boats and equipment to a safe location. Border Guard forces stationed at coastal outposts have been deployed to key areas to help residents stay safe.
