Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission Truong Thi Mai

In her address, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission Truong Thi Mai hailed their contributions to national development. Ms Mai highlighted Party and State policies for the elderly. She said Vietnam aims to increase life expectancy to 75 years: “The State needs to issue more incentives not only to help the elderly live longer and but also increase healthy years of age and improve their life quality. In addition to health care policies, the state needs to focus on social security policies to promote the role of the elderly.”

To mark the occasion, Ms. Mai presented certificates of merit to 112 outstanding elderly people in the region.
