The event is part of the program called "Through Viet Bac heritage regions", which aims to promote culture and tourism in Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang and Thai Nguyen province.

On display are 120 works of fine art, painting and photography showcasing the culture, landscapes and development of regional provinces. 

Painter Tran Hang of Bac Kan province's Association of Arts and Literature said the exhibition is an opportunity for artists in the region to exchange and learn from each other's experiences. "The art works feature regional culture, the people and landscapes of the ethnic minorities."

The exhibition is open until next Thursday at the Bac Kan Provincial Cultural House.

On this occasion, Bac Kan province also organized an exhibition introducing historical documents and images of the people and typical culture of Bac Kan to mark the province's 75th liberation anniversary.
