Coastal cities attract millions of tourists during National Day Holiday

(VOVWORLD) - During the National Day holidays from August 31 to September 3, millions of domestic and international tourists flocked to Vietnam’s coastal cities, marking a sharp increase compared to last year.

Da Nang saw nearly 308,000 visitors, a 21.2% rise from the previous year, with tourism revenue surpassing 48 million USD, up 33.8%. In Ba Ria-Vung Tau, beaches, amusement parks, and hotels attracted close to 556,000 visitors, a 7% increase from last year’s holiday.

Quang Ninh welcomed approximately 455,000 tourists, a 19% rise year-on-year, generating over 40 million USD in revenue. In Hai Phong, more than 310,000 tourists visited during the holiday, a 24% increase.

Phu Quoc, the renowned island in Kien Giang province, recorded nearly 75,600 visitors, including 15,600 international tourists—an impressive 173% increase. The island's tourism revenue reached 13 million USD, up 137.9% compared to the same period last year.
