Nguyen Van Nen, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, was speaking at a training course for the southern provinces’ leaders and staff engaged in external information work. The event was held by the Ministry of Information and Communications in Vung Tau on Monday. In recent years, external information has played an important role in Vietnam’s integration process, enhancing Vietnam’s prestige in the region and the world, as well as calling on support from international friends for the nation’s development and defense. Speakers from the Ministry of Information and Communications talked about integration issues and their future strategy. They also explained the government’s action plan for external information in 2014 and particular issues in different provinces.
