Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s 85th founding anniversary marked

(VOVworld) – Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union should boldly offer suggestions for turning Ho Chi Minh City into one of the most livable cities in the region, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Dinh La Thang said on Friday.

At a ceremony to mark the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s 85th founding anniversary on March 26, Politburo member Thang praised the youth for their positive and effective contributions to the national construction, development, and defense: “You have to participate in Ho Chi Minh City’s 7 breakthrough programs. This is your key long-term task. I ask you to bravely offer suggestions and create your own programs. You should help to resolve people’s most urgent issues directly, improve the working process, and increase labor productivity.”

That day, Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, also visited the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on the occasion of its 85th founding anniversary. Nhan said that he believes that the Youth Union continues to be a good representative for the youth nationwide and the core force in orienting the youth’s implementation of Resolutions of the 12th Party Congress, contributing to national development in the new era.
The Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union held a festive day in Dong Hoi city to honor and present certificates of merit to outstanding youth union branches and its 55 members.
The Long An Provincial Youth Union held a get-together to mark the event to honor its outstanding Youth Union members.
A similar event was held in Nghe An province to mark the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s 85th founding anniversary. Marking the occasion, the provincial Youth Union honored its 53 outstanding Youth Union members.
