Hue craft festival closes
(VOVWORLD) -The 2017 Hue Traditional Craft Festival wrapped up on Tuesday, honoring the finest values of Vietnamese crafts.
The event aimed to promote production and connectivity between craft practitioners and businesses, boost tourism, and expand markets for Vietnamese handicrafts.
“The Festival offered an excellent opportunity for local craft villages to promote their products to domestic and foreign customers", said Vice Chairman of the Hue People’s Committee, Nguyen Dang Thanh.
More than 300 artisans from 40 craft villages joined the festival and met their partners from Japan and South Korea.
“This is the 4th time I've participated in the festival. Our home decor items captured the particular interest of visitors"' said Dang Xem, an artisan from Ninh Thuan province’s Bau Truc ceramic village.
