International visitors to Vietnam increase by 9% in January
(VOVWORLD) - The number of international visitors to Vietnam in January has been estimated at nearly 18,000, up 9% from the previous month.

The foreign arrivals were mainly experts and technical workers working for projects in Vietnam and drivers transporting goods at border gates.
Amid complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic and to welcome the Lunar New Year of 2021, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has asked localities to strictly implement preventive and control measures to contain the virus. Localities are urged to tighten supervision of tourism services, including vehicles transporting tourists, accommodation, and activities of tour guides.
