(VOVworld) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development the Japanese Embassy held a conference in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss Vietnam’s agricultural restructuring toward a sustainable development a high added-value.

Reports at the conference underscored top priority to ensure the quality and sustainability of Vietnam’s agriculture in the context of current impact on the environment. A project on the sector’s restructuring will be developed based on the development of rural areas, society, and the environment. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat addressed the event ‘Through this forum, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development wants to listen to, exchange experiences with investors, sponsors, enterprises, experts, and scholars about challenges, opportunities, and strategies on the sector’s sustainable growth when we restructure it. We also hope to reach a consensus in terms of viewpoints, principal, ways of access, goals, and orientations which should be linked to the sector and the national master-plan next year.’
