Meeting marks Vietnam Sea and Island Week
(VOVWORLD) -More than 1,800 people joined a meeting in Quy Nhon city on Saturday to mark the World Environment Day and the Vietnam Sea and Island Week 2018.
Addressing the event, a representative from the Ministry of Education and Training, the organizer of the meeting, said the environment, bio-diversity, marine resources, and climate change response has been included in curricula of the general educational system. Pham Quang Truong, a student of the Quy Nhon University, said: “We should be active communicators and volunteers in protecting the environment through concrete actions like treating waste and draining water. Environmental protection courses should be held, while plastic bags and waste in the markets, trade centers, and residential areas should be collected.”
