NA discusses government report on anti-corruption

(VOVworld)- The National Assembly’s Judicial Committee on Saturday discussed the government report on anti corruption this year. According to the report, despite some certain results, the fight against corruption has not met the requirements. The number of corruption cases that were investigated and prosecuted this year has increased against the same period last year. Director of the Hanoi Police Nguyen Duc Chung proposed the government work out mechanism to force agencies and sectors at all levels to report to inspection agencies outcomes of the fight against corruption. Chung added a mechanism to supervise the implementation of inspection conclusions is necessary.  "The number of inspection reports by the Government Inspectorate as well as inspection agencies at different levels is huge. Therefore, it’s necessary to work out a mechanism to supervise the outcomes of inspections by the inspection agencies of the People’s Committees, Ministries or sectors. In addition, we need to have a mechanism to supervise the implementation of conclusions of inspection agencies", said Chung.
