Activities were held on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh City calling on young people to support HIV prevention efforts and join hands to eliminate the stigma against people living with HIV. The Festival contributes to the National Strategy to End the AIDS Pandemic by 2030.

During National Action Month, the Departments of Health and functional and communications agencies organize training sessions for grassroots medical teams on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, and HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis, provide free HIV testing on the website tuxetnghiem.vn, and communicate the benefits of early access to HIV testing.

Giap Thanh Giang, Head of the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Section of Can Tho city’s Center for Disease Control, said, “Banners and posters will be hung to mobilize the community’s support to HIV/AIDS prevention and control programs, and strengthen leadership at all levels to provide more HIV/AIDS-related services toward achieving the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.”
