National Assembly year-end session to open

(VOVworld) – The National Assembly year-end session will open on Tuesday. Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said deputies will discuss a number of judicial issues in the 2013 Constitution to build a state governed by law of the people, by the people, and for the people.

They will discuss and approve 18 draft laws and 14 resolutions on human and citizens’ rights, socio-economic development this year and plans for next year, the implementation of national target programs over the last 5 years, public investment plans until 2020, and corruption prevention. Topics for discussion will also include elections of the National Electoral Council and the National Assembly Secretary General.
Hearings with the Prime Minister and cabinet members will be held in 2 days and a half. Mr. Phuc said: “All cabinet members must be present at the hearings and deputies can question any of them. The Prime Minister will answer questions relating to him and may report on pending issues.”

The session will close on Novermber 28.
