(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Association in Taiwan, China, held a New Year celebration on Saturday. Vietnam’s Economics and Culture Office in Taipei organized a Spring celebration on Friday.

Head of the Office, Tran Duy Hai, said: “We invited artists of the Youth Theater to perform in Taiwan. Last year, the participants mostly came from the northern region of Taiwan. This year we welcomed overseas Vietnamese from both the northern and southern regions to the celebration.”

Taiwan, China, ranks 4th among foreign investors in Vietnam with total capital of 32 billion USD, two-way trade revenue at 11 billion USD, and 180,000 Vietnamese people working for Taiwanese enterprises in Vietnam. Last year, about 500,000 Taiwanese tourists came to Vietnam. Over 100,000 Vietnamese women have married Taiwanese men and 5,000 Vietnamese students are studying in Taiwan.
