(VOVworld)- Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam pledged further cooperation in developing tourism among three adjoining provinces of Savannakhet, Mukdahan , and Quang Tri.

The commitment was made at the 8th Conference on Tourism Cooperation in Dong Ha City on Sunday. The participants discussed and exchanged lessons learned to ensure achieving a tourism development plan for the three targeted provinces along the East-West Economic Corridor. They called for streamlining procedures for entry and exit at border gates, infrastructure improvement and the development of a tourism community in the corridor. Deputy Chairman of Quang Tri People’s Committee, Nguyen Duc Chinh:“We need to promote the potential of provinces along the East West Economic Corridor through the development of tourism industry so that all three provinces will ensure sustainable growth and international integration.”
