Vietnam Festival 2013 in Japan

(VOVworld)- Vietnam Festival 2013 in Japan was held in a warm atmosphere of friendship on Sunday. The festival is the main activity in the framework of Vietnamese Days in Japan. The event was held in Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Aichi and Fukuoka, marking 40 years of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties. Many Japanese admired Vietnamese Ao dai, listened to Vietnamese songs, and made friends with people from a beloved country. Ms. Sugiyama, a member of the Board of Organizers said this is the 6th time she has participated on this event. According to Sugiyama, more and more Japanese people are aware of the festival and the festival helps Japanese to understand Vietnam: "The traditional cuisine is delicious and the Vietnamese Ao dai is beautiful. I see that more and more Japanese come to the Vietnam Festival wearing Ao dai. And some people wear Ao dai to weddings. Obviously, Vietnamese culture is integrating into Japanese life".
