(VOVWORLD) - Nearly 300 representatives of 20 APEC economy members and observers have attended the first program in preparation for the Vietnam-hosted APEC Week 2017.

Representatives of the APEC National Secretariat stressed the significance of Vietnam’s organization of the APEC Year 2017 and said that Vietnam will do its best to ensure a successful event while promoting the economic cooperation within APEC and the Asia-Pacific region.
Subcommittees of reception, communication and culture, security and healthcare, and logistics informed foreign delegates of their preparation for APEC Week 2017, which takes place in Da Nang City in November.
Representatives of members and observers hailed Vietnam’s early and thorough preparation, and committed to work closely with the country to make APEC Week a success.
