 (VOVworld)-The Ministry of Health has held a ceremony and art performance to mark the Vietnam Physicians’ Day on February 27. Health workers with outstanding achievements were honored at the event. They briefed participants on advanced medical technologies in organ transplantation, reproductive health and vaccine against influenza. Speaking at the event, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien called for more practical and feasible researches:“The Ministry of Health will ask for the government’s approval of a pilot program on research management. This will enable scientists to have demand driven researches. We will increase the pool of skillful researchers and promote technological transfer from overseas.”
At the event, a program to call for donation for free eyes surgery for the poor was launched. The Ministry of Health also honored hospitals and research institutes making breakthroughs in organ transplantation, vaccination against flu and stem cells for blood diseases treatment.
