It is expected to improve the government’s capability and accountability in ensuring children’s rights in Vietnam. "First, we bring technical assistance, technical advice, and implementing the project on children's rights. Second, we're able to share international good practice and experience of implementing children's rights in other countries that may benefit Vietnam as well. And third, UNICEF brings the knowledge on the international child rights' standards - the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the standards that Vietnam is trying to meet internationally so that Vietnam fully implements the Convention", said Lesley Miller, Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Vietnam, while addressing the project inception ceremony held in Hanoi on Thursday.
