Vietnam targets to obtain GDP from 6.3% to 6.5%

(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Standing Committee continues its 4th session on Monday discussing a government report on the implementation of socio-economic tasks and state budget in 2016 and plan for next year. The report estimates that it’s possible to fulfill and surpass 11 goals out of 13 goals set for this year.

The GDP growth rate is predicted at 6.3% to 6.5%, which is lower than the target of 6.7% and the total export turnover is estimated at 6 to 7% compared with the target of 10%.

The Financial and Budget Committee asks the government to review and make a completed report on public debt to have prompt measures to rebalance state budget.

The NA Standing Committee decided to raise fund to support flood and storm affected people in the central region. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the deputies will continue to call for donation at the opening of the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly on October 20.
