Vietnamese businesses integrate for development
(VOVworld) – A program was held in HCM city on Monday to mark Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13. President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan said Vietnam’s signing of the TPP created many development opportunities. He urged businesses to cooperate in information sharing and market surveys.
The Vietnam Business Association in Laos also marked the event on the same day. Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung said economic, trade, and investment ties betwene the two countries’ business communities will contribute to bilateral cooperation: “We hope that businesses will contribute more to Vietnam-Laos special relations and two-way trade by strengthening cooperation and expanding their business.”
Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vu Tien Loc told VOV that the signed FTAs pose both challenges and opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises: “Vietnamese businesses should start strong and practical restructuring with a focus on governance. Priority should be given to corporate culture in core business areas and markets with tariff incentives. I believe that the state will step up institutional reform to create more opportunities for Vietnam’s international integration.”
