(VOVworld) – Protecting fishermen in Vietnam’s territorial waters is the task of the marine police and patrol forces, said Nguyen Van Hung, captain of Vietnam Marine Police ship CSB-8003.

He said that in recent times, due to the complicated situation caused by China’s actions in the East Sea, the marine police force had closely watched and supported the fishermen, to assure maritime safety for them when they go fishing.

Quang Ngai province’s Fatherland Front has received more than 130 million VND from organizations and individuals to support the marine police and patrol force. Le Van Sau is Vice President of  Quang Ngai provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front: "The Quang Ngai provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front has received considerable support for the forces that are protecting Vietnam’s seas and islands. The contribution and support of the people nationwide will make them better able to fulfill their tasks".
