Hung stated that as Vietnam is striving to boost the country’s industrialization, modernization, and international integration process, the students’ association plays a very important role in encouraging young Vietnamese to try their best and gain more achievements in their study and scientific research. He said: "The Party affirms that building a strong contingent of Vietnamese intellectuals means improving the brainpower of the whole nation and that investment in intellectuals means a guarantee for future sustainable development. Many opportunities are open to young Vietnamese students and you are the ones who decide your own careers and future. The Party and State as well as the older generations trust in you and hope that you will uphold the fine traditions of Vietnam, a heroic country that is always fond of learning."

The Vietnamese Students’ Association has 1.1 million members, many of whom are studying abroad. The association fulfilled its tasks set for the previous tenure, paving the way for students to improve themselves.
