Participants agreed that the 4th Industrial Revolution has many impacts on Vietnam’s society and economy. The market has been strongly affected due to the rapid development of technology.

Although Vietnam has an abundant, young work force and a rate of productivity and GDP increasing annually, the 4th Industrial Revolution still presents the workforce with many challenges.

Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Quang Tho, Head of the Workers and Trade Union Institute at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said: “It’s necessary to increase communication in order to enhance social awareness of the 4th industrial revolution and its impacts on the economy, particularly the market of the workforce. Laws on vocational training and employment should be fine tuned. Vocational training should be improved to adapt to the new era.”

The Vietnamese government is building a National Strategy on the 4th Industrial Revolution.
