Vietnam-Japan book copyright festival opens in Hanoi

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam-Japan Book Copyright Festival 2018 co-organized by the two countries’ book publishing associations officially kicked off in Hanoi on Thursday.

The 2nd edition of its kind, the event contributes to enhancing cooperation and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Japan, as well as promoting the sharing of experience in publishing and book copyright.

"I hope through this festival, Japanese publishers will buy copyrights of prestigious Vietnamese publications to introduce to Japanese readers, in addition to promoting their own publications. By so doing, this event is expected to further contribute to forging the fine relationship between the governments and people of Vietnam and Japan.", said Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang Vinh Bao.

The two-day festival involves 20 Japanese and 19 Vietnamese publishing houses.
