Voluntary Blood Donation Day observed nationwide

Kon Tum province aims to encourage more than 1% of the provincial population to donate their blood, totaling about 5,600 blood units this year.

Hai Phong City is also holding Voluntary Blood Donation Day with a message “Giving blood, giving life.” Deputy Chairman of Hai Phong city People’s Committee, Le Khac Nam, said the city will enhance communications for the blood donation campaign.

“The city will launch blood donation campaigns to cadres, state employees, workers, and students. We’ll enhance communications so people will understand their responsibility to give blood to save lives. We’ll give compliments, gifts, and awards to the donors,” Nam said.

Thai Binh province collected 300 units of blood on Voluntary Blood Donation Day on Wednesday.
