(VOVworld) – Researchers and enterprises discussed opportunities and challenges facing the construction sector during ASEAN integration at a workshop on Friday in Ho Chi Minh city.

The event was held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vietnam Association of Construction Contractors. Many participants said Vietnam’s construction sector was facing many challenges as ASEAN agreements take effect at the end of the year. They said that in order to exist and develop, construction enterprises needed to carefully research the ASEAN market. Enterprises should further invest in human resources and develop in fields that reflect their strengths. The participants said functional sectors need to assist enterprises in terms of human resource training in construction, to improve the capability of the national economy.
