At a press conference in Hanoi on Friday, Pham Tat Thang, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children, said the workshop is a forum for experts, teachers, education managers, and policy makers to exchange ideas for improving education in Vietnam and to promote international cooperation. He added these ideas will provide a theoretical and practical basis for legal documents on developing higher education.

High on the agenda will be capabilities of a university system, and tertiary finance and management.
